BT Healthcare selects eB® for management of vital accident
and emergency medical records.

SAN DIEGO, CA (PR Web) November 12, 2008 -- Enterprise Informatics, a leading provider of enterprise information management solutions that enable organizations to reduce the cost of meeting compliance requirements, minimize business risk and optimize process efficiency, today announced that BT Healthcare has selected eB for Document/Records Management at St. Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, London.

Working with IT consultants 6PM, BT Healthcare has selected eB to support the capture of Accident & Emergency documents. Initially, Kofax Capture will be implemented as the front-end to eB, using barcode recognition to identify documents and group them into Episodes of Treatment for a specific patient. Using the object modelling feature of eB, they will create a person object to represent the patient, so that in the future a much wider set of information can be linked and made available in context with the patient and all relevant medical records. In addition, eB will be integrated with a system called Cerner, a Patient Administration System that provides a series of clinical applications in use across the hospital.
