Enterprise Informatics is a privately-held software company founded in 1981 by early pioneers of the document management industry, based on ground-breaking proprietary technology. Headquartered in San Diego, California, with offices and customers around the globe, our focus is to develop, sell and support best-of-breed Enterprise Information Management software solutions and to deliver best practices through our consulting and professional services. Quite simply, the software solutions we develop efficiently capture, manage and distribute all types of information assets across and beyond the enterprise, enabling organizations to reduce the cost of satisfying compliance requirements while minimizing business risk and optimizing process efficiency.
Overview //
The Informatics Challenge
Informatics is the science of gathering, manipulating, storing, retrieving and classifying recorded information. The practice of managing information assets at the enterprise level remains undisciplined and unfocused in many organizations, as evidenced by the ongoing cost and complexity of integration and the spread of ubiquitous information, known as “infoglut.”
While initiatives such as service-oriented architecture promise rapid results, long-standing information management issues such as semantics, accuracy, location, transparency and governance must be resolved.
The Enterprise Informatics Solution
Enterprise Informatics helps organizations organize and control all of the structured and unstructured information supporting the enterprise. Structured information includes the content from enterprise applications such as enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM), supply chain management and financial systems. Unstructured information includes all of the content – documents, images, drawings, audio and video files, e-mails, faxes, etc.
Our software and consulting solutions empower organizations to build bridges between documents, records, assets, people, processes and projects – essentially, to create an ecosystem for the rapid access of accurate information in context. We identify correct information and ensure its integrity in a continually-changing environment, making accurate, relevant information available when, where and in the format preferred by the user.
